GREAT PROFITS of 350 Gold Per Khorium Ore

The Burning Crusade was a great Expansion back in the early 2000's and it is a great expansion still to mine in. This is because of the HUGE profits in Khorim Ore. Khorium ore is primarily found in one zone Nagrand in the burning crusaded. If you are a mage grab a port to Shatrath and fly west out of Terokkar into Nagrand. You really really really want to be max level when you mine this because 1. It is competitive and profitable to , and 2 because you need fast flying to get up to the floating islands in nagrand where this ore is usually found.
If you havent learned yet how to mine Khorium ore , level up your smelting and mining , and then head over to the trainer marked below and make sure Khorium smelting and mining is unlocked. If you require a few more levels head over to Nagrand and levelup. Once you have Khorium unlocked you need to camp out in Nagrand and start making your fortune.
Above map of Nagrand you will find floating islands often loaded with Khorium. My favorite of all tricks for farming Nagrand and Khorium is to use one of the oddities of the game, multiple looting of mined ore.
I will tell you what happend and then later explain why.
The game will allow 2 or 3 and even 30 people mine the same ore. Don't try and multibox it, but you can have or more players follow you and then wait for all your groups players to simultaneous mine the Khorium. Since khorium is VERY pricey per ore , being cooperative like this pays off.
I will sometimes ask the guild to come mine with me so 10 or more people can earn the money from mining the ore with me.
Here is why it happens like this. A lot of zones in the game were made cross server , or multiple server. This is to conserve the War server resources. They use one machine to host a zone of Nagrand and allow many servers to access that zone. This makes it easier for players in Nagrand to goup up and play together, and saves the company money because they only need to host Nagrand on the fly as people enter it. When people leave the zone empty the Nagrand gets closed and the server computer is used to host maybe a dungeon or a battle ground.
The side affect of this is more people are mining in 1 spot. Blizzard made it then so that multiple people could mine the same ore. Dont multibox it. Blizzard wont allow it and your multibox will be banned for exploiting the automation ban.
Another side effect of this is if you enter Nagrand on a very low population server, your chances of finiding TONS of Khorium go way way up. Joining a group based on a low population server is a fast way to earn a Lot of money mining Khorium.
Low population servers are the PROFITABLE Population servers. This is because there will be little or NO local competition to mine that sweet pricy Khorium ore. I have marked some of my favorite mining servers in the picture below.
I see a nice juicy server like Earthen Ring , or Kirin Tor or Farstriders and I will gather some buddies and head oveer there to mine.
The process is pretty easy. Make a level 1 character on the target server and invite your buddies and that level one character into a raid group. The Level 1 toon MUST BE LEADER OF THE GROUP.
I then use my mage to port and then carry the level 1 to Nagrand in Tbe Burning Crusade expac zone. The level 1 toon local to say farstriders needs to stay alive AND logged in AND in the group with the rest of the miners. As long as the level 1 is Alive, in group and in nagrand and group leader the software of the game will put everyone else temporarily on that low population server.
As long as the above is true , all that sweet sweet untouched Khorium on say Kirin Tor server is yours for the taking.
Coordinate when you find Khorium, and have the entire group gather around the Khorium at the same time. And upon the same time ALL OF YOU MAY MINE IT. If you have 5 group members and the ore has 4 Khorium a total of 5 x 4 ores will be mined.
It takes a little bit of practice but mining 20 ores is worth about 7000 gold. And this will happen each time you coordinate mine it.
The above is all perfectly legal and legit in the game as long as you don't use any automation. Definitely do not use any multibox automation. Any and all automation will earn you a BANHAMMER.
One good place to remember is the Dungeon Auchindown. That dungeon will let you enter and re-enter 5 to 10 times an hour . Run through it at max level you may find Khorium. No matter what you find its worth some money and its just for you!
