Alchemy is one of those professions that you may not be aware of , that has a lot of earning potential

The key to making BIG BUCKS ( gold) on Alchemy is to complete vanilla alchemy 300/300 and then acquire the ability of a transmutologist.

An alchemy with the Transmute specialty create 20% more on every transmute they do in alchemy.

But to unlock this you need 300/300 vanilla Alchemy. I will show you what a transmute specialty earns you when you sell transmuted items.

Below that I will point out what the transmutation specialty looks like. I will then point out on the second picture how extra items are being produced by that transmute specialty.

Living steel is featured in the second picture. Living steel is one of the most profitable items you can make in Alchemy as it is always always in demand. Living steel is also highly used in making mounts like panthers, rockets, and sky golems. As such it sells pretty fast if your price is right.

The big selling fast selling items I list here will earn you tons of money with the extra 20% transmutes you get with the transmutation specialty.

These are the items you wanna focus on.

Living Steel ( featured above) used in mounts.
Truegold, used in mounts.
Titanium and Titansteel bars, used in mounts.
Arcanite ( used in legendary items)

Once you get 300/300 Vanilla Alchemy and the Transmute specialty you can immediately buy the recipe ( On the Auction House) for Arcanite Bars. The Arcanite bars I sell made me the 200,000 gold I made in one hour of sales in the TOP screen shot.

On any given day when I want to transmute the 3 mount transmutes and 1 Arcanite Transmute earn my anywhere between 200,000 gold a day on a slow day to 2 - 3 million gold a day on a hot day ( usually a weekend).

The big clincher is the 20% extra transmutes you get with finishing 300 Alchemy and doing the quest to unlock Transmutologist.

Even if you end up buying your mats ( keep track of your costs) and you sell for a break even price you will make 20% extra therefore 20% profits.

That 20% adds up fast. If you plow your earnings back into making more transmutes then you compound your earnings.

One of the ways I bought the many Dino Brutasaur mounts I own is with this comounding ability of 20% transmute extras.

Mosey on over to Stormwind city my friend or Orgrimar if you are horde.

Talk to a guard and find the Alchemy trainer and learn vanilla Alchemy and master 300/300 Alchemy. Its a grind. But its a grind with a big payoff. The walkthrough for leveling 300 Herbing and digging up the herbs for 300 Alchemy are under the Herbing pages in this website.

Herbing to Level Alchemy!

Here in Stormwind and below that map the Orgrimar map I have put a yellow star on the Alchemy trainer. For ease sake WoW put the Herbing trainers right next to the alchemy trainers. The professions of Herbing and Alchemy go together.

Once you reach 300/300 Vanilla Alchemy you will see a quest above the trainers I marked. DO the quest for transmuting and turn it in. Then to start earning big bucks Pick up the Arcanite Recipe and begin making some cash.

One trick you may wanna do is buy couple tokens. Use the tokens to pay for the herbing if you donot have the time to do the herbing. You can use the other token to start buy materials like Arcane Crystals in order to leverage production of your first Transmute.

Make them Arcanite Bars. They sell for between 300 to 500 per bar.
