Transmutations - Titanium - Titansteel - Truegold - and Living Steel OH MY !
Some of the next few expansions in World of Warcraft had mounts that depend heavily on transmuted bars.
WRATH OF THE LICH KING TRANSMUTING
The Chopper recipes for Ally and Horde both require Titanium and Titansteel. You can transmute Titanium from Saronite Bars. You will need to level up Wrath of the lich King Alchemy and I suggest also Wrath Mining. Wrath Mining is VERY profitable with mined TItanium ore in a place called Wintergrasp. Titanium ore is about 100 a pop. Titanium bars are transmuted from Saronite bars a mined Wrath ore. Saronite is about 10g per ore 20G per bar. Also good thing to Mine.
Transmuting 1-7 Titanium bars with Saronite bars you need the Transmutation specialty.
Sell the TItanium and maybe smelt Titansteel bars. TItanium 190 - 300 a bar. Titansteel bars 500 to 1000 a bar.
CATACLYSM TRANSMUTATION RECIPES
The Vial of the Sands Recipe in Cataclysm expansion requires 12 Truegold bars. You cannnot Mine Truegold Bars. Truegold is made with the 4 ingredients : 10 Volatile Fire, 10 Volatile Air, 10 Volatile Water and 3 Pyrium bars. If you have mining , and Mine Elementium and Pyrium ores and you have engineering on the same character as you mining , you can equip an item called an electrostatic-condenser. That nifty item produces extra volatiles that you need for truegold every time you mine with a Miner / Engineer combo with the electrostatic-condenser device on you.
I advise Stone and others in my guild to level a Miner with engineering and go Mine in Uldum and mine elementium and pyrite in Twilight Highlands. The miners produce tons of volatiles.
In Twilight and Uldum there are also elemental critters that when killed drop Volatiles Water, FIre and Air when killed. Mining and Killing those critters inn Uldum and in Twilight Highland will allow you to make a bunch of free volatailes used to make truegold.
Free volatiles means free money.
Again to make 1 to 7 truegold (Transmuter right) you must have the 4 things : 10 Volatile Fire, 10 Vol Air, 10 Vol water and 3 Pyrium bar. If you mine and get the volatiles you can save on buying some.
Sell the truegold bars. Low price 300 - 700 High.
MISTS OF PANDARIA TRANSMUTING
Living Steel is used in a ton of mounts and some pets. Living Steel is used for the Engineering mounts both Gnome and Goblin Rockets. The Sky golem needs 30 Living STeel each. The Sky golem is one of the ONLY MOUNTS that is 100% profit and 100% farmable.
Living steel is another Transmute only Bar. You can make it with a Transmuter in TWO WAYS.
Riddle of steel recipe ( Conan Reference) Is made with 3spirits of harmony and 3 trillium bars to make 1 - 7 Living steel.
Transmute living steel ( 2nd recipe to make this) requires 6 trillium bars and a daily cooldown.
Trillium bars can be farmed from a farm in Halfhill Valley of the four winds in Mists of Pandaria. If you do the quests with Yoon at Halfhill farm and level up your farm, the farm can eventually grow trillium ores. I suggest you do those quests.
Trillium can be mined. Trillium Can be grown on a farm in Halfhill. Trillium itself can be transmuted form Ghost Iron Bars. Ghost Iron is usually underpriced. If you smelt them into bars then transmute them you can save a lot.
All the above methods prduce great profits if you find ways to farm a little and produce the transmutes without paying for items.
Now if you are also ablle to make the mounts these items depend on. YOU WILL BE TRULY WEALTHY.
